Gobbalunga

Gobbalunga, the re-edition of Giovanni Levanti’s iconic seat (2007), returns to Salone del Mobile 2023. Moving away from the dogma of the traditional sofa and its passive state,  Gobbalunga seeks the unexpected encounter between surprise and innovation, wonder and comfort. Characterized by its  unusual shape and a strong narrativecomponent, Gobbalunga continues to show its absolute contemporaneity, citing the classic armchair that ends, however, with a soft disjointed tail. By moving the tail, different configurations, both formal and functional, can be achieved. When it is elongated, it invites to rest; when it is curved back on itself, it creates a micro-environment that encourages conversation. On the tail then, you can sit, lie down or ride it as you like.
