Moma

The young Vico Magistretti presented this design, part of a system of office furnishings, at the “International Competition for Low-Cost Furniture Design”, whose first edition was organised by the MoMA in
New York in 1948. Although it was not among the winners on that occasion, this shelving unit already embodied all of the themes of Magistretti’s expressive language: tradition applied to the contemporary and a rejection of the superfluous.
Modular, elegant and discreet, the MOMA is constructed from natural waxed beech wood and protected by the trademark “Vico Magistretti Original”.
