It is a compact, portable box that opens with a simple gesture to reveal an inflatable mattress and a self-supporting foldable headboard. A temporary micro-architecture, a bedroom in a box, that defines an intimate space and turns hospitality into an act of care.
Thélonious Goupil is a french industrial designer based in Paris.
He aims to develop sustainable and intuitive objects self-produced or in collaboration with quality manufacturers.
He sees design as a way to explore new lifestyle and shape a world more in tune with real needs and nowadays issues. In addition, he looks for a personnal formal language that he would like expressive and freed from conventional ideas of beauty.
Apart from design, his investigation also extends in open, collaborative, or artistic projects. In this sense he co-created and co-directs Collections Typologie, a publishing house that explores in depth ordinary industrial objects.
Since he started his studio in 2018, his products have been presented in various exhibitions↗.
He Graduated from Ensci-Les Ateliers in Paris with Honors in 2016, he trained at Ransmeier Inc. and Jasper Morrison Ltd. which has increased his sensitivity to ordinary things.
