Le Temps de la Communauté is an innovative sofa that revolutionizes the concept of furniture, transforming itself into a versatile and interactive element. Designed to be disassembled, as if it were “cut,” it allows it to be configured according to the users’ needs. Each individual piece is covered in fabric or recycled wool for the seating area, while the faux leather sides contain a magnet system to reconnect the pieces. The uniqueness lies in the ability to rotate a piece and use it as a pouf, making it even more functional. This versatility allows the sofa to be creatively adapted to living spaces, moving the pieces wherever and however you want. “Le Temps de la Communauté” is not just a sofa, but a true community element, ideal for those who want a space that encourages conviviality and sharing.

After graduating in industrial design at the Ateliers – ENSCI in 1990, Matali Crasset begun her career in Italy with Denis Santachiara and in France with Philippe Starck. In 2000, she started her own business in Belleville, Paris: Matali Crasset Productions.
Always looking for new territories to explore, Matali collaborates with different and eclectic realities.
Her areas of intervention vary from product design to electronic music, with the realization of furniture, architecture and graphics, locally and internationally.
Her main inspiration comes from the concept of shared and everyday lifestyle.
